This movie theater knows how to make a dog’s day!
Once a month Gothenburg's Capitol, a Swedish art house cinema, opens its doors not just to humans but to their canine friends as well. The cinema provides blankets and dog treats—and the dogs go in free with their paying owners.

Dog owners may sit next to each other if their canine companions get on. This afternoon Chloe, a chihuahua, has turned up in an overcoat matching the one on her friend Eonni, a little pug. "They are best friends. They do everything together," explains Isabella Bislimi, Chloe's owner. "The best thing about this event is that we can enjoy the cinema with our best friends. Now we don't go to 'normal' movies anymore without our four-legged friends."

On this drizzly afternoon, the foyer of the Capitol was full of dogs in raincoats. There were two screenings that day: Wes Anderson's French Dispatch and, fittingly, the Truffle Hunters, an unlikely box-office success about a group of dogs and their aging owners who scour the forests of northern Italy for the prized Alba truffle.
